About Boy Scouting

The Boy Scout program is a big change from Cub Scouting; the biggest difference being that it is boy led instead of adult led. Adults monitor and coach the boys, enabling them to lead and follow without constant oversight. Boy Scouting has high standards for leadership and behavior and BSA builds character, citizenship and develops personal fitness.

Boy Scout Troop 111 is part of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) hierarchy. To see the hierarchy for BSA click here. For Boy Scouting structure click here.

If you would like more information about why you or your son should join Troop 111 click here for informative videos for future scouts and their parents.

Boys are continuously working toward advancing from their current rank to the next rank and ultimately building their foundation for reaching the highest rank of Eagle Scout. For further information about the ranks and other BSA resources click here.
